What are Sim Shalomers Saying About us?
Dear Rabbi, Shabbat Shalom ve todah raba, it was a most beautiful service today! Loved it! Best regards.
We get little to no Judaism here in Daegu, S. Korea associated with the US Army. It is rare to have a Rabbi visit us so as often as we can, we watch your program. It comes to us at 8AM on Saturday morning.
You lead us in an hour of spiritual renewal, peace and relaxation that ends a week of working stress, rushing and general hectic endeavors. Sim Shalom provides an island of peace and harmony in a sea of stress.
My wife and I attended both services. By far the best High Holidays experience I’ve ever had.
Thank You SO Much For What You are Doing !!!! I live on the Southside of Atlanta nearest Synagogue is almost an Hr away Sometimes with traffic 2 Hrs … Defeats the purpose of Services when I am so tired upon arrival that I can’t even read the Prayer Book.
My only regret was not being in NY for Yom Kippur.
The service was not only by far the most interesting and fun, but to me the most meaningful too. I never thought fun and the High Holidays could be combined but you and your team did it masterfully.
I just wanted to reach out and say thank you for the Rosh Hashana service at Smalls. Wow. I have had few experiences that brought together so many things that I feel strongly about all in one place. That service was wonderful and I hope we can return next year.
Dear Rabbi Blane-
Our family missed your service tonight because both my husband and I are sick with a bad cough. We are however, at home watching your service online with the kids and it was unlike anything we’ve seen before. Really terrific 🙂
We will see you in person on Kol Nidre. You (and your band) were absolutely awesome!
Happy New Year,
The Knie Family
As we Jews began our new year I would just like to express my thanks and appreciation for all the team does at Sim Shalom and JSLI.
Through two Navy deployments, and no access to a Jewish chaplain or onboard Rabbi, Sim Shalom has allowed me to virtually participate in Shabbos and holiday services.
My Jewish mother who lives in rural North Alabama is also unable to attend synagogue. But with your online availability, she is able to enjoy our culture as Jews and have the feeling of service participation.
Rabbi- I was blown away by the holy force of the familiar chants when they are powered by creative jazz arrangements – alternately blazing with vitality and coolly sweet as an fresh crisp apple dipped in honey. A unique and splendid Rosh Hashonah experience!
